Overview

Lens transforms your verified captures into structured PDF reports using on-device AI. Reports include all embedded metadata, custom notes, and AI-generated narrative.


Creating a Report

Step 1: Select Photos

  1. Open Gallery
  2. Long-press any photo to enter selection mode
  3. Tap additional photos to select (numbered badges show order)

Tip: Selection order determines report sequence.

Step 2: Start Report Builder

Tap Create Report (bottom of selection bar)

Step 3: Configure Report

NotesAdd context for AI narrative

Step 4: Generate

Tap Generate Report. Processing typically takes 10-30 seconds depending on photo count.

Step 5: Export

  • Share: Send via email, Messages, AirDrop
  • Save: Export to Files app
  • Print: Send directly to printer

Report Contents

Each generated report includes:

Tips for Better Reports

Photo Selection

  • Order matters: First photo becomes cover image
  • Consistent framing: Similar angles improve narrative coherence
  • Include context shots: Wide + detail shots tell complete story

Notes

  • Add specific observations (e.g., "Crack width: 2mm")
  • Include measurements when relevant
  • Note weather conditions affecting work

Report Title Colors

Settings → ProjectDefault Report Title Color

Options: Black, Red, Blue

Troubleshooting

Report Generation Fails

Cause: Processing timeout or network issue

Fix:

  1. Reduce number of selected photos
  2. Ensure stable network connection
  3. Retry generation

Photos Appear Out of Order

Cause: Selection order differs from intended sequence

Fix: Clear selection → re-select in desired order
